Jill Douglas

Jill Douglas is a regular face on BBC Sport, presenting and reporting for Grandstand and has been involved in their coverage of many major sporting events.
Jill began her career as a print journalist in the Borders before moving into television. She was a news presenter and reporter with Border TV before concentrating on sport when she moved to BBC Scotland in 1997. Jill became the UKs first female rugby presenter when she fronted Rugby Special for BBC Scotland.
In 1999 Jill moved to Sky Sports where she presented sports news, southern hemisphere rugby and traveled Europe covering Golden League athletics.
Since her move back to the BBC in 2003, Jill has presented Six Nations rugby, worked on the Rugby World Cup in Australia and the Lions Tour to New Zealand for Five Live and been involved in the BBCs Olympic and Paralympic coverage. She has enjoyed working on the BBCs coverage of cycling, tennis, swimming, bowls and a whole variety of sports around the world but still manages to make it home to see her team, Hawick RFC, play at Mansfield Park when she can and is a keen race goer when time permits.
